Meet Jason


Jason is the Purchasing Manager at We Buy Key Fobs and is the face of the company at most trade shows. He will be setting up a booth at this year’s ARA Convention and Exposition in Dallas. We interviewed Jason so you can learn a little more about him and the company before the expo that takes place November 1-4.


How long have you been with We Buy Key Fobs?

This is my 4th year with the company and I’ve been enjoying every minute. I started as a customer service representative and learned the ins and outs of the business. Now as the purchasing manager, I strive to ensure that the customer is at the forefront of our business. Whether its meeting at a trade show or talking over the phone, I love receiving feedback from our customers.


What change in the company have you seen over the years?

We’ve really grown in every aspect of the business. We’ve worked hard to improve our processes to create a better customer experience. We have also gained an immense amount of knowledge on the industry and the standards and technology we need to stay up to date.


What do you enjoy most about your job?

Getting to interact with people and put money back into their pockets is very rewarding. I’ve had individuals sell to me who used that money to pay their rent and put food on the table for their kids. When you can pay people for something they thought there was no use for, it’s a good feeling.

Along with our service, for every key fob purchased from an ARA member, We Buy Key Fobs donates to the ARA to help promote and defend the recycling industry. 


How do you help sellers in this process?


We’re with them through the entire process. We provide the shipping labels, we notify you as soon as the shipment arrives at our facility, and we pay you as fast as possible. From sending in your key fobs until the final payment, we’re always just a phone call away!


So, what do you like about trade shows?

Meeting new people. Trade shows are a great way to meet new people and fill them in on the rewards of our service. A lot of people have no idea that they can sell their old key fobs, so it’s fun informing them about it.


It’s also fun to travel to different places for these shows and the special events they put on are always a good time. My favorite speaker has been Grant Cardone who talked about what it takes to be successful. I remember him talking about feedback, and how you can’t learn without it, whether it’s good or bad. I really took that to heart and have applied it to this business ever since.
